W2RO is proud to recognize Lindsay Ferguson, Reverse Logistics Group (RLG) as one of this year's recipients of the Women in Waste Spotlight.
Lindsay started her career in waste with Miller Waste. After earning her DZ license in 2011, she became one of only two women recycling truck drivers employed by Miller in London.
Lindsay eventually expanded her role to include the collection of garbage, before making her way into customer service and sales.
In 2023, with the new EPR program being launched in Ontario, Lindsay decided that her expertise in the waste management field would bring value to the Common Collection System (CCS). Never backing down from a challenge, Lindsay applied to be a Contract Administrator with RLG and started her new career chapter on August 28, 2023.
While at RLG, Lindsay has had the opportunity to work alongside numerous mentors who have challenged her, pushing her abilities even higher and supporting her career growth. That mentorship has led to Lindsay managing one of RLG’s largest CCS contract portfolios, ranging from curbside collection to receiving facilities, depot operations and depot hauling.
Known for her collaborative approach and sound decision-making abilities, Lindsay has established herself as a subject matter expert and has played a critical role in the success of the CCS program.
Lindsay continues to build on her leadership strengths, with aspirations of further advancing her career in the waste management industry.
